Join our Applied AI Practicum Program where your organization's challenges meet cutting-edge AI expertise. Get a dedicated team of pre-selected Computer Science Master's students, guided by Emory faculty, to develop customized AI/ML solutions for your specific needs.What You Get:
- Custom AI Solutions: State-of-the-art models and algorithms tailored to your problem
- Dedicated Team: 3-4 CS MS students with experience in AI and/or ML, and specializations in NLP, Information Retrieval, or Deep learning
- Faculty Supervision: Direct supervision of the student teams from experienced senior Emory CS faculty
- Open Source Results: Full access to all code, models, and prototypes developed with permissive licensing
- Computing Support: Use of Emory GPU cluster for development and experiments
- Access to Talent: Relationship with students for future project, internship, or employment opportunities
Your Investment:
- Specifying the Problem Statement with clear goals and objectives
- Projects should be self-contained for a duration of one semester.
- The scope should be similar to a summer internship project.
- Identifying datasets for the project: (datasets, synthetic data, or open data sources) aligned with your business needs.
- Semester-long engagement: (January- May, 2025)
- 3-4 Meetings with the student teams during the project lifecycle
Example of Potential Projects:
- AI chatbots and assistants over a subset of data (e.g. product chat or catalog chat)
- Models and analytics for business intelligence and data insights
- Proof-of-concept prototypes such as multimodal chat bots or recommendation systems for your data

Spring Semester Timeline
- December 1: Project submission deadline
- December 15: Project discussion and finalization
- Early January (Exact Date TBA): Project kickoff
- Late April (Exact Date TBA): Project Final Presentation
