Placement Outcomes
We track placements for our MS graduates because outcomes are the only fair test of a graduate program. The data on this page covers tracked alumni placements across industry, research, and academia. We update it on a rolling basis as new placements are reported.
Three things stand out in the numbers: our graduates are concentrated at the top tier of tech employers, they hold the same range of roles you would expect from any leading CS program, and a meaningful share of them go on to senior engineering, executive, or faculty positions.

Humphrey "Kwame" Amoakohene
From Emory's 4+1 program to Software Engineer at Goldman Sachs in New York City.
From the moment he joined Emory’s 4+1 Computer Science program, Humphrey embraced every opportunity to challenge himself academically and grow as a future technology leader. Through courses like Computational Linguistics and Foundations of HCI, he discovered a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and building technology that connects people and ideas.
Humphrey’s time at Emory was defined by curiosity, determination, and leadership. Beyond the classroom, he served as a Student Ambassador, welcoming prospective and incoming students through tours, orientation programs, and admissions events. His energy, mentorship, and pride for Emory helped shape meaningful experiences for future students and their families.
“Emory gave me the technical foundation, but more than that it gave me a community that believed in me long before Wall Street did.”
